The ball is in the court of the Police headquarters Ranchi to decide the fate of DSP Hl Ravi and DSP PR Barwar. They are for the chair of DSP in Daltonganj. Sources said the State Government had transferred Ravi and Barwar along with others quite recently. Ravi was transferred from Hazaribagh to Palamu’s Daltonganj.
Barwar was transferred from here to the Special Branch Ranchi. Ravi came and joined here as DSP on April 14 and started doing his duties here. The State Government in the meanwhile cancelled the transfer of Barwar and stayed put him in Daltonganj. A fax message to this effect did reach SP Palamu Patel Mayur Kanhaiya lal last night.
Now there is no word about the fate of Ravi. Ravi has not been asked by the police headquarters to return to Hazaribagh till date. There is going back order for Ravi but for Barwar his stay in Daltonganj is ordered by the police head quarter.
The SP Palamu Patel Mayur is in a fix. The SP told The Pioneer, ‘”I am waiting for the order of the police head quarter in connection with Ravi’s fate here”. The SP confirmed the stay of Barwar here vis a vis stating there is no word about Ravi.
P R Barwar said “I was on leave. On Thursday night I knew a fax message had reached SP Palamu which read my stay of transfer and so I came to Daltonganj On Friday April 17”. Barwar “My transfer notification stands cancelled,” he added. Asked what would be the course of action for Ravi DSP Barwar said ‘ No comment. No idea’.
Ravi on the other hand maintained ‘ I came here by the same transfer order in which Barwar too has figured. Till this hour I am talking to you I have no any order/communication from the police head quarter. I have joined here on April 14 and I am going ahead with my work in full charge of the post of DSP here’.
Sources said the situation is quite fluid for both the police officers Barwar and Ravi wherein Barwar is in a advantageous position since his transfer order is cancelled and his stay here has been notified by the police head quarter while for Ravi’s fate the police head quarter is silent and this may give a lever to this officer to continue here for a few more days before another order regarding him comes from the police head quarter.
