Cracking tough against the IPl betting racket in the city, the police have arrested medical shop owner Nilesh Jain along with his staff Kaushik Rudra for running a racket of betting in IPl matches from his shop at Jugsalai.
In this connection, the police have registered a case under Sections of 420 and 34 of the IPC and IPC Section 11 under Gambling Act against Nilesh Jain, Kaushik Rudra, Mantu Jain and Atul Dubey. Mantu and Atul are still absconding.
Jugsalai police station Arun Kumar Mishra said that two more persons, namely Mantu and Atul, were also made accused in the case as they had also a role in running the racket of betting in the IPl matches.
