Jharkhand police department is still clueless about the seven people, working for a construction company, who were abducted from Deoghar. On Sunday night seven people were abducted by suspected Maoist guerrillas.
About 10 to 15 people carrying weapons raided company’s camp site near Badania village, around 350 km from the State capital Ranchi and abducted the workers on late Sunday night. Those who got abducted include three night guards, one driver and three helpers who are and headed towards Bihar.
The company is currently engaged for the construction of a bridge in the district. Police have launched extensive search operation in the adjoining jungles to nab the abductors.
Police have inputs that Maoists from Bihar had come through the jungles and took all the abducted workers to Bihar. “We are in regular contact with the Bihar police as we have information that the Maoists sneaked to the bordering jungles in Bihar along with the abducted workers,” DGP Rajiv Kumar was quoted as saying.
