Giridih Police claims to have solved Arjun Verma's murder case within 48 hours of the incident by the Saria SDPO Deepak Sharma. While one youth identified as Mukesh Verma, allegedly involved in the brutal murder of his close relative namely Arjun Verma at Birni area of Giridih on past Sunday, was arrested by the Birni Police here on Tuesday, SDPO Deepak Sharma said.
According to police, weapon used in the killing was recovered from a spot in the same police station area. The police have interrogated his family members at Jaridih Village in Giridih and got vital clue about him.
Announcing his arrest, Saria SDPO Deepak Sharma said Mukesh Verma was arrested after public spotted him in a locality under Birni police station here on Tuesday. According to police, Mukesh Verma and one other Khoso Mahto, the mastermind, were allegedly involved in murder of BJP activist Arjun Verma. They escaped from the Birni area on the same day but after prompt action of the police, one killer Mukesh Verma came under net of police.
The incident took place near Jaridih, located a few hundred meters from his residence at Jaridih. While BJP activists was on his way to block office after getting call from unknown number .As he reached near Ganado nala on Sunday afternoon at around 1pm when armed assailants attacked on him with tradition weapons and threw his body near Gando- nala. later the body of Arjun Verma was recovered by the police with lying pool of blood. The cause of death is reported to be excessive bleeding.
