Hazaribagh police arrested a youth named Chandan Singh, a resident of Chanaro village of Charhi police station, on the charges of making fake coal transport permits.
SP Anup Birthare said police had seized a laptop, printer, some pen-drives, two mobiles and some forms used in making papers for transportation of coal.
The SP said, “We have got information that Chandan Singh, son of Mahesh Singh, is involved in the malpractice of making fake documents. He is an accused in case no. 34/2015 along with his maternal uncle Arun Singh in same nature of case. As per information the police team acted and arrested the culprits from his house and seized materials and some completed papers which were fake.”
Transportation of coal from Hazaribagh to Varanasi on the basis of these documents a common practice in the coal areas. When police take action, it stops for some time and then again the same situation crops up and every time a new name comes in this malpractice.
Police have lodged case no. 8/17 and has started investigating the matter in details. SP said that now we are looking for those coal transporter who were using these fake papers
