Working on a tip-off, Giridih police on Friday evening busted a cyber criminal gang and arrested four of its members at Chamliti village of Giridih. The police also seized 14 ATM cards, one Scorpio jeep, three motorcycles and five mobile sets from the accused, SDPO Manish Toppo said.
According to reports the accused have been identified as Sundar Mandal, Churaman Mandal, Anil Kumar Mandal and Gonik Mandal. They hail from different villages under Ahilyapur police station areas of Giridih. Giridih SP Akhlesh B Veriyar said the criminal used to pose themselves as bank employees and ask for ATM PIN from the customers to online transact the funds in their accounts.
