Police arrested three opium smugglers with five kg opium from Masipirhi village under Muffasil police station of the district on Sunday night.
Hazaribagh Superintendent of Police Mayur Patel Kanhaiyalal said on Monday that police got the information that some of the persons are staying in Masipirihi village on National Highway 33 and going to deal of opium with some persons out of the state,
A team was formed under the leadership of PCR ( Police Control Room) Dy SP Sahdeo Saw alongwith officer in charge of Muffasil police station Rajeev Singh with police jawans to conduct the raid on the suspected house,
Patel said that as the police reached near the house they were gtried escaped from the police. The team caught the all three members from there. Team found five kilograms opium from the dicky of the motorcycle. The police team also seized the bank pass book from the residence of the smugglers. Pass book shown that they have received on line payment of 1.5 lacs from the party.
