Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Mahesh Poddar has chosen Mahilong Panchayat of Namkum Block for Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna. The MP alongwith with Khijri MlA ram Kumar Pahan today announced to help develop the village in all possible ways. Poddar said that he has a 50-year long relationship with the region and thus developing the region has been his dream. He said that he wanted to choose a Panchayat that has a woman Mukhiya and this Pnachayat has an educated and industrious Mukhiya.
The MP said that the scheme is being launched on the eve of the birthday of PM Narendra Modi and if residents of the village try to make the village alcohol free then government would grant one lakh rupees as reward. He appealed to the villages to work with dedication to make the village developed. Rural representatives and government officials alongwith villagers were present on the occasion.
