Twin infants lav and Kush aged about one month died at Jioraydih under Domachanch Block on Tuesday night. According to the district administration, the twin died of acute pneumonia.
District Administration along with medical team visited the affected Birhor colony and investigated the cause of the death and assured the victims’ family that they would get the benefits of government’s Adim Jan Jati Pension Yojana and other schemes.
Victims’ mother Anjali Birhorni said, “The twin were suffering from fever and brought to Sadar Hospital Koderma from there they were referred to RIIMS, Ranchi. Unfortunately, one of the children died on the way to Ranchi while the second child died at home on early Wednesday morning.”
