PM's Bihar visit aimed at upsetting rally, alleges lalu

Claiming that the rally on August 27 will be a huge success, RJD chief lalu Prasad said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bihar a day head was an attempt to affect it.

Talking to media persons at State Guest House here on Thursday, Prasad added that the rally had been called to launch a movement against the current anarchy in the country for which JMM working president Hemant Soren and JVM chief Babulal Marandi have already consented to take part in it.

“Modi has planned to visit Bihar on August 26, while I have called a rally in Patna on August 27. It is nothing but an attempt to affect my rally which is not possible as my people are fully committed and dedicated and the rally will be exceptional,” said the RJD chief.  “I have invited like-minded leaders from all over the country and most of them have consented to attend it, including Mamta Banerjee, Sharad Yadav, Babulal Marandi and Hemant Soren,” he added.

“We are in regular contact with Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdullah and other leaders while Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Mayawati are busy on that particular day and have said that they will send their representatives to attend the rally,” said Prasad. He said that the rally had been called to launch a movement against the current anarchy in the Country on the lines of Quit India Movement which was started by Mahatma Gandhi from Champaran in 1942, he added.

Referring to the resignation offered by Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu, Prasad said that he did not had the right to remain on his post as he had completely ruined the railways. He also suggested that the Railways would never run smoothly until the staffs working in, right from the top to bottom, were taken into confidence.

The RJD chief also claimed that a feast will be organized in Patna on August 26 under a conspiracy to conduct Assembly elections in Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat along with Parliamentary elections in 2018 itself so that the BJP gets benefitted.

“Feast is just an eyewash, a meeting of all BJP-ruled states have been called to discuss how they could conduct Assembly elections in the four states along with the Parliamentary elections,” said Prasad. It was their hidden agenda, he added.

He welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court on privacy as fundamental rights.

Earlier, Prasad appeared before different Special CBI Courts in Ranchi but the statement of his witness Brigadier RP Nautiyal in fodder scam cases RC64A/96 and RC68A/96 could not be recorded as he did not receive the summon on time and requested through e-mail to fix the date for August 31, which was granted by the court.
