In an attempt to provide benefits of various schemes to the every people of the State, under the chairmanship of Director, Directorate of Urban Administration, Urban Development and Housing, Vijaya Jadhav an online review meeting was convened on Monday with various municipal bodies, in which the work of progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), DAY-NULM and Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojana was reviewed.

During the meeting, Jadhav expressed displeasure over the pending houses of the fourth component of 2015-16 and 2016-17 under PMAY(U) and not being achieved as per the housing construction target under the component-3 affordable housing project. It was clearly stated by her that the beneficiaries who have received the amount of the house and they have not started the construction work of the house despite getting the installment, the notice of recovery of the loan along with their names should be immediately identified by identifying such people. She said that action should be taken to recover the amount as soon as it is pasted on the notice boards of the municipal bodies. Along with this, instructions were also given to complete the half-completed house at the earliest.

In the meeting, the DMA Director clearly said that instead of those who do so, the process of allotment of houses to other eligible and needy beneficiaries should be started. Along with this, she stressed on the need to urgently remove technical hurdles other than the paperwork coming with banks in housing construction. She categorically said that in any case the housing construction has to be completed in the stipulated time as per the target.

During the meeting, while taking information regarding the progress of Deen Dayal Antyodaya National Urban Livelihood Mission DAY-NULM in various bodies, Jadhav said that the formation of Area Level Federation (ALFs) should be the top priority in each body. Along with this, we should also try that if need be, we should maintain better coordination with the same bank so that SHGs do not face any problem in credit linkage. She also expressed displeasure over the delay in achieving the 100 per cent target of revolving funds by various municipal bodies.

Taking seriously the non-availability of workers, as per the target under the Chief Minister Shramik Yojana in various bodies, she stressed on implementing it at the earliest. She said that it should not happen that the needy workers have to sit empty due to lack of work.
