Deendayal Upadhyay is another name of a struggling personality and a great man. The culmination of struggles from birth to the end of life's journey. Like the waterfalls rising and falling from the mountains, his life is in the form of pure water which is a quenching source the ideological thirst of socio-political life.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the great thinker and writer, the inspiration of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, was born on 25 September 1916 in Nagla Chandrabhan village of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. He was child prodigy.
Due to his family circumstances, he remained a wanderer even during his student life and witnessed the untimely death of his family members very closely.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, who topped the post-graduation examinations and received the gold medal, accepted to become a pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as an unmarried Seva Vraati, as opposed to becoming a big official and settling a family and running a household as per the hopes and aspirations of his family. In the year 1951, when Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee founded Jan Sangh, a political party imbued with Indian ideas, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, at the age of just 33, took over the responsibility of National General Secretary of Jan Sangh with the planning of RSS.
While Jan Sangh continued to expand, the country and society got to see the unique talent of Deendayal ji.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay gave the universal philosophy of integral humanism to the world struggling between communism, capitalism and socialism. He described Antyodaya as the pillar of developed nation's life. He said that all efforts are incomplete without taking the light of development to the last person. A palace can last long only if its foundation is strong.
The feeling of world brotherhood is hidden in Deendayal ji's Antyodaya and integral humanism. But both these ideas are incomplete without awakening the cultural consciousness of the nation.
Deendayal ji gave thoughts ranging from individual to macro. Rejecting the one-sided ideology of communism that only the one who earns will eat, he said that the one who earns will feed. This is Indian philosophy. Should children, the elderly and the disabled be left hungry if they cannot earn?
Rejecting the western concept of development, he considered native skills and rural cottage industries as the backbone of self-reliant India's economy.
Deendayal ji's thoughts have remained a ray of light in the development journey of Jan Sangh and BJP. The successful Prime Minister of India and the most popular leader of the world, Narendra Modi, is doing the work of completely bringing to ground the organizational vehicle which was launched by Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee by sacrificing his life for national unity. Under his leadership, Antyodaya, cultural nationalism and integral humanism were coming true.
Antyodaya is the service of village, poor, farmers, exploited and oppressed class. Today, whether it is Jan Dhan Account, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or Ujjwala Yojana, toilet construction or Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana or PM Vishwakarma Yojana, all the schemes are dedicated to Antyodaya. Antyodaya's thinking gave the country a tribal woman President. It was Antyodaya's thinking that brought Padma award to those ascetics, seekers and those who played an important role in the building of the country, about whom the country was unaware.
This rapidly moving development journey from Antyodaya towards self-reliant India is not forgetting to pass through the streets of cultural nationalism. The construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, the divine form of Kashi Vishwanath, the construction of Mahakal Corridor have established the cultural pride of India. Nari Shakti Vandan Act is also an expression of India's eternal tradition Yatra Naryastu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devta.
Today India's presence on the world stage has been established like Angad's feet but India is not in this ego. Even in the difficult circumstances of Corona, India became the support of the world. Helped poor countries and the needy. India gave a new direction to the world by presiding over the G20 conference. The theme of One Earth, One Family strengthened world brotherhood.
Today, in the golden period of India's independence, the power of the tricolor has increased a lot, but this power is not scaring people but giving support.
Cruel times snatched away Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay from all of us untimely on 11 February 1968, but today he is immortal among the people in the form of his inspiring thoughts.
