Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed BJP leaders and cadres through video conferencing across the country, mobilizing them for upcoming general elections. The BJP function was part of party ‘Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot’ programme, through which Modi interacted with around 1 crore party members and cadres across the country.

The State BJP to make the function a grand success had arranged video conferencing facilities at around 513 BJP mandals. Senior party leaders including union ministers in Modi cabinet Sudarshan Bhagat attended the function in Gumla, Jayant Sinha in Hazaribag, State BJP president and party Rajya Sabha MP, Laxman Gilua in Chakradharpur, state urban development and housing minister CP Singh at Sukhdeo Nagar in State capital among others.

The video conferencing of PM Modi billed as ‘world largest video conferencing’ by BJP  where the PM interacted with 1 crore BJP workers and volunteers from nearly 15,000 locations across the country, the functions was held at 513 BJP Mandals in State.  In State Capital the video conferencing was held at 17 Mandals.

During the 90 minute function, Modi also interacted with BJP cadres. BJP Telco Mandal (Jamshedpur) Mahila Morcha president, Jaya Laxmi interacted with PM. Jaya Laxmi asked the PM how to strengthened democracy in country.

Replying to Jaya Laxmi’s query, Modi said, “Your name is Laxmi, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Goddess Laxmi sits at lotus, which is BJP symbol too.”  Modi further said, “The Indian democracy is divided between two cultures—one is headed by BJP and other by Congress. The Congress culture is driven around one family, but the BJP culture is of workers and cadres, where a normal party cadre like me can also think of becoming Prime Minister and Chief Minister.”

Modi advised all BJP booth workers to reach out to supporters and others in their area and explain the good work done by the government both at the centre and state. The PM asked the BJP cadres to have a healthy competition among themselves. Competition should be among the booth level BJP member to see who gets the maximum number of new votes, or young voters or women voters to come and vote during the elections.

Energizing the BJP cadres, Modi asked the BJP members to utilize their full potential in upcoming next general election. He said, “The centre has initiated several development works and the party leaders should reach out to people with the schemes launched by the government. The loss for the party, like in 2014 will jeopardise development works and ease of corruption will replace ease of doing business.” Modi said, “The mandate of 2014 was for fulfilling the people necessities while the 2019 elections will be about fulfilling people’s aspirations.”

The BJP cadres and workers from State were euphoric with PM mantra. BJP media in-charge, Shiv Pujan Pathak said, “The video conferencing of PM was enriched with new thoughts and motivation for BJP cadres. It is the potential of Modi jee that while on one hand he can talk about country foreign policy on the other hand he can give guidelines and directions to booth level workers.”

Echoing the views of Pathak, BJP Ranchi Mahanagar president Manoj Mishra said, “The message of PM was loud and clear to all BJP workers not to sit idle but to fasten our belts for next general elections.”  The PM videoconferencing was held from Lucknow, the BJP expects to reach to nearly 10 crore people across the country. In Jharkhand, the State BJP expects around 10 lakh people might have watched the PM programme though live telecast or though NaMo app. In State the BJP has around 22 lakh members.
