PM, CM should have control on language: Cong

Reacting to Prime Minister's remark on Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, members of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Raghubar Das and other BJP leaders to have a control on their language.

Addressing a press meet on Friday, media in-charge of JPCC, Rajesh Thakur said, “PM and CM might not care about their own dignity, but they should at least think about the dignity of the post they hold.”

Thakur said that it is unfortunate that forgetting the martyrdom of former PM Rajiv Gandhi, the BJP is putting baseless allegation on him and his in-laws. "The PM talks about his mother and gets photo clicked with her, but ignores his wife. She is also a woman and deserves respect. He (Modi) comments on other's in laws, why does he never tells people about his own in laws,” he said.

Thakur added, “It is quite clear from the PM's speech that he is worried seeing that Congress is to win in the election and so he is using the bravery of army to gain votes.”

Talking about the speech of CM Raghubar Das on Thursday, he said, "CM, in a public meeting used indecent words for the opposition. He should remember that those on the receiving end also know how to speak. He is using such words while holding the post of CM, at least he should think about the dignity of the post. Congress can reply to him in his language too but it is not our culture."

Mocking the slogan 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas' by BJP, Thakur pointed out that where on one hand BJP talks of inclusive growth, on the other their MLA, CP Singh alleges that people of a particular religion do not vote for BJP. "How can they decide who has been voting for them without the counting. Election commission should take cognizance on such statements," he said.

Talking about the claims of the government of eradicating extremism from the State Thakur questioned that if there are no Maoists, why is the government trying to change 93 booths on the name of security?

Spokesperson of Congress, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that BJP is stunned knowing that they are losing in the Lok Sabha election.

"This is the reason that the leaders have now resorted to baseless allegations to mislead the public," he said.
