Police on Thursday arrested Area Commander of People’s liberation Front of India Arun Yadav from Dumaria Humli Tola under Burhmu PS. Yadav had replaced former Area Commander, Krishna Yadav who was also his brother. Police recovered one country-made pistol, live cartridges and mobile phone from the arrested ultra.
According to Police, soon after stepping into his brother’s shoes, Arun started area domination and was looking out for people who allegedly worked against the interest of the organization.
“He had come to the area with two purposes. One was to target those who betrayed the organisation and the other objective was to collect levy from local gambling centres,” said SSP Ranchi, Prabhat Kumar.
Yadav was nabbed on Thursday afternoon by a team led by Rural SP, Rajkumar lakra and was subsequently interrogated to ascertain the level of dominance in the area. Arun is wanted in cases related to murder, dacoity allegedly committed in Mandar, Chanho and Kuru.
