In order to create tree plantation awareness among the city school children, State Bank of India (SBI) Regional Business Office (Region Two) organized Van Mahotsav celebration at Zila School on Monday morning with the theme ‘Plant a Tree for your future’.
As many as 25 fruit saplings were planted including mango, amla and guava in the school premises. SBI Regional Manager BR Khosla was present on this occasion. “We conduct this programme every year during Van Mahotsav month so that children can be explained the importance of trees in their lives,” PN Ram, an SBI employee said. Other staffs present here were Zila School Principal DD Mandal, BB Rao and SK Pandey.
