A 25 year-old youth riding pillion was flung off his bike from a causeway in Ganda Satrupi village and plunged to death in local canal when motorcycle collided with other vehicle ,police said.
The victim, identified as Anil Mandal, died due to drowning and his body could be retrieved around one hour after the accident, police said.
The mishap occurred when the youth was going to Dharguli village from his native place Ulikar village under the Bagodar police station early this morning at 8am .The impact of the collision was so severe that Anil was flung off the motorcycle, fell into the canal and died due to drowning, sources said.
Sources said that Anil Mandal was declared dead on arrival at local hospital, Bagodar, police informed .The body has been sent to Giridih sadder hospital for post-mortem .
