Information and Public Relations Department of Jharkhand has announced a Photography Contest on August 19 on the occasion of World Photography Day. The theme of the contest is Jharkhand: land, People and Culture. Professional and enthusiast photographers can participate in it by registering at www.picturejharkhand.com. The contest is held by IPRD, Jharkhand in collaboration with Jharkhand Photographic Association. The National Institute of Design (NID) is on board as the Academic Partner while Jharcraft will be a leading prize sponsor. The Jury panel will constitute of eminent and award-winning photographers of International repute and professionals including Aida Muluneh (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia), Akintunde Akinleye (lagos, Nigeria), Dinesh Khanna (Gurugaon), Rafique Sayed (Mumbai), Rishi Singhal (Ahmadabad), Robin Banerjee (Kolkata), Sugandha Dubey ( Gurugaon), Ashok Karan, Mukesh Srivastava, Sanjay Bose and Sudhir John Horo ( Jharkhand).
All the entries will be evaluated by the Jury panel online and the winners will be declared on Jharkhand Diwas on the November 15. The top 25 winning entries will receive exciting prizes and the winning photographs will be curated into Jharkhand Photo Exhibition.
