A day-long dharna was organised by Peshrar block Sanchanalan Sangharsh Samity at the gate of district head office. The samity demanded to regulate all the administrative works from Peshrar office directly. On the occasion, the founder of the Samity Bal Mukund lohra, President Vinod Kherwar and other leaders said, “Six years have passed since the block Peshrar was set up. Still the works are being regulated from Kisko block. So the people belonging to Peshrar block are deprived of many benefits. After 68 years of the independence the people suffer from the wants of basic necessities as facilities of health, education, water, irrigation roads and electricity. The benefits of Peshrar Action Plan must reach the people. All the administrative works should be regulated from the Peshrar block and the officials should be deputed soon.”
They also demanded that the teachers should be appointed to several schools, the road should be constructed from head office Peshrar to Panchayat, the villages should be eletrificated, the people of primitive tribes should be made self-dependant, irrigation facilities as ponds, check dams and lift irrigation should be constructed. After dharna they submitted an 11 points demanding memorandum to the DC in the name of Governor of the State. In the Dharna a lot of people from Peshrar block were present.
