A tribute giving ceremony for martyr SP Ajay Kumar Singh was organized by the trust of his name in Ajay Udyaan.
He had sacrificed his life and got martyrdom on October 4, 2000 while confronting to Maoists in Peshrar.
On the occasion an all religion prayer, painting, patriotic song competitions and a football match in Peshrar were held.
On the occasion DC Vinod Kumar said, “SP Ajay Kumar had sacrificed his life for peace of the people. The people of the district would always be grateful to him. In his honour this park has been provided to the people with his name. This is the matter of proud for us.”
SP Priyadarshi Alok said, “Police have been trying to fulfill the dreams of the martyr SP Ajay Kumar Singh. The battle against maoists has been conquered to a great extent. There have been drastic changes in the society.”
Before it many dignitaries and people of several political, social and religious groups participated in the all religion prayer.
They all paid their tributes to the martyr SP. On the occasion DC Binod Kumar, SP Priyadarshi Alok, DDC, SDO, trust secretary Chandrasekhar Agarwal were present.
The programme was directed by the treasury head Ajay Prasad and the vote of thanks were given by the secretary Chandrasekhar Agarwal. On the occasion many administrative officers and dignitaries were present.
