The spurt in incidents of theft and burglary in Mango area has created a sense of fear and insecurity among the residents. Several cases of have been recorded in the recent past.
In yet another incident a gang of unknown burglars decamped with valuables, including ornaments worth over Rs 1 lakh from the house of Rameshwar Pati on Road No 1 at Sankosai under Olidih police station area.
Pati, who is a transporter, had left the house to participate in a marriage fucntion, but he returned home this morning after getting an information from his neighbour that there was a theft in his house.
The burglars broke open the locks of door and inner room, and finally succeeded to unlock the case.
Notably, just a week ago a gang of burglars had decamped with gold ornaments and valuables worth over Rs 4 lakh from the house of one ,Kishori Prasad on Road No 1 in Sankosai under the Olidih police station.
The burglars had committed the burglary by taking advantage of religious music on the loud speaker in the neighbourhood.
