Commissioner North Chotanagpur Division SS Meena on Wednesday reviewed the status of pending projects and revenue collection in all seven districts of the division. The marathon review meeting took place in commissioner's meeting hall in two sittings.
In first sitting commissioner and district officials sat with the officials of CCl, BCCl, NTPC, NH and other such organisations whose projects are pending due to some problems. In second sitting Meena reviewed the status of revenue collection and gave directives to the concerned officials having unsatisfactory report.
As per the directives of State Government, commissioner Meena directed the district officials to remove the hurdles from the path of some important projects under progress in North Chotanagpur division. He especially directed the officials of all those organisations whose projects are getting delayed to remain in touch with the district administration so that problems can be sorted out as early as possible.
In this meeting, Meena also reviewed the status of land acquisition for some important projects like NTPC, NH, Railway etc. He directed the district officials to speed up the land acquisition work and to submit a detailed report to his office about the nature of land required for the projects. The Government is keen to get the pending projects completed within limited timeframe so that the people and the State could start getting benefits of it, he added.
In second half while reviewing the status of revenue collection by different departments in the districts Commissioner Meena once again stressed upon the revenue collected by lands. He especially directed the officials to digitalise the land records and to settle the land disputes as early as possible so that more revenue can be collected. Meena also gave directives and advises to the concerned officials of those departments whose revenue collection report was not satisfactory.
