Peace committee members put their suggestion forward and discussed the issues with Gomia block development officer (BDO ), Moni Kumari, officer in-charge Asutosh Kumar and other police officials here on Thursday. The BDOand Officer in-charge said that block administration and police is taking all the necessary steps to provide better facilities during Durga Puja in Gomia and ensure peace and harmony.
In the meeting they directed state electricity department officials to replace defective lights and also repair electric wires where required to avoid any accident. They also directed all local body members better public utilities to provide better facilities to people during Dusshera festival,while the one way traffic would be provided at the railway crossing, added they.
All puja organisers have been directed to install CCTV cameras in their pandals.
S.P Kartik. S said that a local police control room will be setup which will work 24 hours and would monitor the situation. State electric department and police officials will also be available in case of any emergency.
He further said that a zero tolerance policy will be followed against anyone who will try to disturb social harmony and peace. Bokaro, SP Kartik S further added that peace committee members and local police will also monitor the activities continuously.Those who were present in the meeting includes Gulab Hansda,Yaswant Naiyak ,local Mukhiyas and ward members and local residents.
