Parents here are up in arms against realisation of education extension fee by Carmel School despite the directive of district fee fixation committee (DFFC) to adjust it in monthly tuition fee.
The ongoing dispute once again came to fore while the school management sent whatsapp messages to parents of wards to clear the dues to Rs 6000 per year . Several parents had stopped payment of the said fee terming it violation of government orders.
One of the parents, Madhurendra Singh said ,"It violates guidelines issued by the District education officer who also is secretary of DFFC".
Terming it to be an excess burden on parents as well as mental torture to students as they are being targeted by teachers too in class over the issue , Singhsaid that he has has written to stateHRD minister besides DC dhanbad who is ex officio chairman of DFFC, NationalCommission for Child Rights , CM Jharkhand, regional director of education besides others against violation of government guidelines on this issue .
Singh has sighted the letters of DEO sent to not only this school but select other schools governed by ICSE guidelines to adjust the said fee in regular tuition fee.
Singh said , It's not only me but several other parents have received such messages that we decided to raise the issue once again before different authorities for justice with parents and students .
In another move the Jharkhand Parents Association too has decided to raise the issue before authorities , said Manoj Mishra, president of the association .
