Parents’ association flags irregularities in Pvt Schools

Published on:

The Jharkhand Parents’ Association has raised serious concerns over the ongoing irregularities in private schools of Bokaro, urging the District Commissioner to take firm action.

The association highlighted issues such as annual fee hikes, forced book purchases from select vendors, and imposition of charges like re-admission, development, and annual fees—putting financial pressure on parents.

Parents demanded that books be made available in the open market and arbitrary fee hikes be stopped. They called for strict enforcement of the Jharkhand Education Act, 2017 to curb the unregulated practices of private schools.

It is widely believed that such meetings take place every year without any concrete outcomes, but the Parents’ Association expressed hope that this time, their concerns will lead to real results.

District President Mahendra Rai thanked the District Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav addressing the concerns and urged swift action to ensure fair and transparent education policies.
