Para teachers including Block Resource Personnel (BRPs) and Cluster Resource Personnel (CRPs) are reluctantly continuing their protest as the State government is yet to give nod to their long pending demands.

Similarly, few Jharkhand Educational Project Council (JEPC) employees despite having received the show cause notices on October 20 are also continuing their protest stating that they will not give up until their two major demands are accepted by the authorities here.

However, moving in a positive direction, the State government besides taking stringent action against the agitators has drafted out feasible plan of action to tackle the protesters issue after checking out all their demands within a limited parameters.

“After getting the show cause notices, several JEPC employees have joined their duties here in Capital city, Gumla and few other districts. Similarly, BRPs and CRPs have given their assurance that they will soon rejoin their duties. As per para teachers are concerned their demands are also being considered by the State government,” said, School Education and literacy, Secretary, Aradhana Patnaik.

Notably, the State government has given 10 per cent hike to BRPs and CRPs besides agreeing upon few major agendas of KGBV employees who have recently joined their posts at their respective districts after a weak long strike.

As per the ultimatum issued by the department a while ago, all 1400 JEPC employees and ADPOs must have to resume their posts on October 19 whereas on October 21 and 25, all the BRPs, CRPs including para teachers are mandated to join the duty on above mentioned dates respectively.

“The talk is on with the concerned group of people and they too are interested in joining the duty in the stimulated time. Those contravening the guidelines of State government will be immediately terminated from their post as fresh recruitment order to the respective DCs has already been issued,” added Patnaik.

On the other hand, JTET pass teacher association, State Convener, Bajrang Prasad pointed out, “Even after a long protest, none of the State government officials have approached to us. Even after giving in writing and assuring us job regularization, no plan of action is considered yet in this direction. With more than 10,000 para teachers and 3500 BRPs, CRPs, we will continue the strike now even after the deadline gets over.”
