Hussainabad police in Palamu on Friday discovered a bag near a ditch at Ghutkhori where in was a body of elderly man stuffed said the officer in charge of this police station Ajay Singh.
The Police officer said his chest was all consumed by animals.
One of his hands was being carried by stray dogs. The stray dogs had torn the bag in which was stuffed the body.
There was nothing in the bag understandably for his identity said Ajay Singh.
Police officer said the man could have been murdered elsewhere and then his body was thrown here in Jharkhand's Hussainabad.
He said the location where police discovered the body in bag is just 6 kilometers away from Bihar and there is a strong possibility the victim belonged to Bihar and there he was finished and then to hide the murder and his identity he was thrown in the Jharkhand side in a bag.
No postmortem of the body could be done either at the sub divisional hospital Hussainabad or at the MMCH Daltonganj just because the body was in a great state of wreckage said the police officer.
The body was sent to RIMS Ranchi for the post mortem.
Sources said bordering area crime overlaps with the geographical boundary and this case may be one such. Police officer said no one has phoned police or come to the police station to make any claim for the body.
