Palamu police have cracked a minor girl's murder case. SP, Palamu, Sanjeev Kumar, said that two people have been arrested and jailed today. Sections of 302 of the IPC and sections of the Pocso act have been invoked against the two identified as Niraj and Om Prakash.
The SP said that Neeraj killed his minor girlfriend as she was pregnant and Niraj had no money to get her aborted. The SP said Neeraj was told by a lady health worker to arrange for 10,000 rupees for the abortion, which Niraj found too hard to have and so he just got his beloved finished.
The SP said Niraj knifed her several times to death.
Kumar said the two then buried her in the sand bed of the river Koyal. The body was discovered on February 27. She had gone missing on February 21. The girl hailed from the village Koriyadeeh in Hussainabad sub division.
The SP said our police team worked quite professionally on the case. Sanjeev Kumar said police would pray for a speedy trial of this case.
