Saplings and shawls for felicitation of dedicated BJP leaders and workers by the BJP MP Palamu VD Ram here at Pandit Deendayal Upadhayay memorial hall on Saturday September 23. Senior BJP leaders including few Ram Bilas Ram, Shyam Narain Dubey etc were felicitated with sapling and shawl on the 1,000 days completion of VD Ram as MP Palamu. A 60 page book on the initiatives and achievements of VD Ram were given to the invitees on this occasion. The BJP MP’s book reads that the Japla cement factory closed since 1996 was put on auction by the debt recovery tribunal to recover a debt of Rs 60 crore outstanding against this cement factory but no company, agency, institution came for bidding advertisement of which was issued twice. Debt recovery tribunal has suggested the State Government that since no bidder is coming up and hence the State Government should take initiative for its acquisition in which case then the debt recovery tribunal will transfer cement factory to State Government at the lowest value.
The State Government has not so far shown any keenness to run this cement factory and is in touch with ACC ltd, Ultratech cement, Dalmia cement, Shree cement, Star cement to run this Japla cement factory. BJP sources said if Japla cement factory gets reopened then there will be no looking back for first time MP VD Ram. VD Ram is also pursuing SAIl. SAIl has its three lime stones quarries in Garhwa district’s Ghaghra, Goreygaon, Saraiiyya but mining of lime stones from these quarries is on hold following non clearance from forest environment & climate change dept. SAIl is silent on this matter since it does not require lime stone now. BJP said, VD Ram wants these lime stone quarries to be used for setting up of a cement factory at Bhavnathpur.
SAIl has been persuaded to surrender these quarries to state government. These unmined lime stones of these three quarries can be used for cement making.
People cutting across political affiliations believe if VD Ram can get it done then the party will be the most benefitted in the coming lok Sabha election here.
