Dr Vijay Kumar Singh deputy superintendent of the MMCH Daltonganj is now the civil surgeon cum chief medical officer Palamu and will hold both the charges together.
DC Palamu Anjaneyulu Dodde on Tuesday issued an order asking Dr Vijay Kumar Singh deputy superintendent of the MMCH Daltonganj to perform the day to day works for the civil surgeon cum chief medical officer Palamu till further order.
The order explains this arrangement is local and a stop gap one. The civil surgeon cum chief medical officer Palamu Dr John F Kennedy is in the central jail Daltonganj since September 30 and this post of the civil surgeon cum chief medical officer Palamu was lying vacant since then.
Sources said this local arrangement has the approval of the state health department.
It is now to be seen as to when the state health department delegates power of drawing and disbursing to Dr Singh as DC on his own can't delegate power of the DDO to any medical officer.
