Congress in Palamu is dissatisfied with the functioning of the Medinirai medical college hospital (MMCH) in Daltonganj.
Sources said there is so much disorder in this hospital that its stop gap superintendent Dr RD Nagesh has written to the health department to make any other professor here as superintendent.
Junior and senior residents here are sans honorarium over the last four months, said one such doctor S Pallavi.
Palamu district Congress president Jayesh Ranjan Pathak alias Bittu Pathak aid the MMCH in Daltonganj is lagging behind and it is not fulfilling the purpose for which it was so upgraded following the start of the medical college here. Pathak said this hospital has no biometric attendance facility as a result doctors and staff play truancy very easily.
Superintendent Nagesh confirmed there is no biometric attendance facility in the MMCH right now.
Pathak further alleged there are allegations that some doctors here are also serving in some private hospitals outside Palamu and come here on duty day and then leave for their job destination. Pathak has demanded a serious inquiry into it as he said the allegation of some doctors doing jobs elsewhere also has substance.
The Congress leader has found a flaw with the roster for doctors as doctors do not serve according to the roster.
He said this attitude of the hospital authorities here is anti-government and demanded that immediate steps be taken for improvement here in terms of treatment to patients and other medical care.
