A fetoscope was found in total order at the health and wellness center at Tukbera on NH 98 today by the civil surgeon Palamu Dr Anil Kumar who officially inspected this health and wellness center but he did more a good job by just enhancing the finesse of the community health officer here by giving medical tips.
A fetoscope is used to feel the heart beat of the foetus. The community health officer of the health and wellness center at Tukbera Amisha M Beck was found well versed in using this fetoscope on pregnant women. She said pregnant women love knowing the beating heart of the foetus.
The civil surgeon said "I found this community health officer doing good. I asked her about the stages and management of the delivery. Here she was given necessary tips."
Delivery is not done here but pre delivery care of the pregnant woman is done with all sincerity.
As pregnant women come here for a check up but prefer delivering baby elsewhere, the stocking of 45 colourful baby kits here surprised the civil surgeon much.
Dr Anil Kumar said "I have asked the medical officer in charge Dr Rajendra Kumar to take away 35 out of the 45 baby kits from this centre and make use of it at the larger community-based health centre at Bishrampur."
A baby kit is given to a BPL woman on the successful delivery of a girl child no matter if the girl child is first or fourth.
The civil surgeon said "We need to protect girl child in Bishrampur. Here the gender gap is too wide. The baby kit to a BPL woman on the birth of a girl child is a move to convey the message that girl child is a boon. A girl child matters most."
The health and wellness center at Tukbera has plenty of weeds and grasses making it a grassy one. The medical officer in charge Dr Rajendra Kumar has been asked to get the weeds out.
On an average a dozen patients visit this health and wellness center a day said the community health officer Beck.
The centre has enough space for Yoga doing but for the weeds and grassy look it is not coming here.
The civil surgeon said "We need to make this NH side health and wellness center a real health and wellness center for which all of us have to work hard and in full coordination."
