Palamu district BJP president Vijiya Nand Pathak and senior leader Shyam Narain Dubey today lashed out at the ruling coalition for its alleged undemocratic attitude towards veteran BJP leader Babulal Marandi and evolving policy of appeasement by giving a space in the Jharkhand assembly for the offering of Namaz.
The BJP duo had a press conference today where popular student leader Shyam Babu, who is now zila mantri in the BJP district, was also present.
Pathak said the way this government is denying the legitimate portfolio of leader of the opposition to Babulal Marandi proves this government has no qualms of conscience and believes in destroying high standard of democratic values and norms. Pathak said, “Our party respects every religion and we believe everyone has a right to practice their faith but earmarking a space for the Namaz in the Assembly building is nothing but a policy of appeasement all for votes.” The BJP leader said his party takes strong exception to this kind of appeasement of a particular community as this will harm the society in the long run. He said the BJP denounced this decision of the government and the government must withdraw this special treatment to a particular community.
Reacting to the setting aside of Hindi language from the job examinations of the third and fourth grade, Pathak said there can't be any more injustice to Hindi and Hindi speaking people than this.
Veteran BJP leader Shyam Narain Dubey said incidents of crime are rapidly rising and the law and order situation in the present government is deteriorating fast and the government has no control over it.
Dubey said for this government extremism is a natural friend. “Our party is all out to unseat this government which is anti-poor and anti-development,” he said.
Dubey asked if anyone is safe in this state. Be it Judges, lawyers, policemen or any common man, nobody is safe, he said. Pathak said today this government has made transfer of officials a business where officers do not know as to when they will be asked to pack up and move on. He said the Jharkhand academic council did not listen to the genuine complaints of the failed students and acted like an autocratic body.
