At least 10 experts from different walks of life came together to enlighten more than 400 people from nearly 40 countries on emerging as leaders during crisis situations like the Covid-19 pandemic. The International Coaching Festival organised online by Indian Leadership Academy (ILA) turned out to be a huge success despite the Covid-induced barriers of maintaining distance from each other.

Acknowledging the overwhelming response to the event aimed at inculcating leadership qualities and improving cognitive behavior in individuals, the founder of ILA, Kaushik Mahapatra said that it was time to look beyond the pandemic and see how this period of crisis has helped the world develop new ideas and work on materialising them.

The first speaker for the day, Pascal Bubeck from Ireland spoke extensively about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on working professionals and how it helped many people develop leadership skills. The programme continued till 8pm and speakers and industry experts from across the globe enlightened the participants about finding the silver lining even during adversities.

Leaders from Ireland, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, Germany, India, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Sri Lanka spoke to the participants via video conferencing. Usually, such events are held offline, but this year it will be held online in wake of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Some of the topics for the session were particularly aimed at improving the mental health of the participants. The Covid-19 pandemic, like any other crisis, had a devastating impact on the mental health of several people across the globe irrespective of their sphere of work. Some of the speakers at the event gave lessons on navigating through challenging times with mindfulness and compassion, while some threw light on the different stages of psychological safety. Speakers also talked about the importance of self love and how keeping oneself calm and composed was pivotal in achieving success.

ILA founder Kaushik Mahapatra, who has over 23 years of work experience in the UK, US and Australia after graduating from the premiere B-school in India, is also a corporate trainer, a coach, a top selling author, a leadership expert and an expert in mindfulness techniques.

The idea behind launching this platform was to exchange ideas at a global level and help individuals find the best in themselves.
