It was the 5th blood donation camp organised at VBU by MBA students club, “highest number of blood unit donor of Jharkhand” award winner of last two consecutive years, in association with Rotary Hazaribagh Valley, Inner wheel club, laxmi auto and Inner wheel youths in which more than 100 students of different departments of Vinoba Bhave University donated their blood and a large number of students filled the form of pledge to donate eyes.
The members of students club were working hard for the success of this blood donation camp since last one week. Through posters, banners, SMS and short play at different spots of the university campus, they not only succeeded in making the environment but also forced the office bearers of Red Cross Society, Hazaribagh, to think upon increasing the capacity of their blood bank because many students failed to get a chance of donating blood.
DDC Hazaribagh Ravindra Prasad Singh, Dean Students’ Welfare Vinoba Bhave University Dr Manjula Sanga and Dean Science Dr SK Agrawal inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. DDC Singh said that the award winning students’ club will surely be on top this year too. The President of Rotary Hazaribagh Valley Anil Sharma, Secretary Sunil Agrawal, members Shailesh lal, Colonel Vijay Kumar, Sunil Gupta, Manoj Agrawal, Rajesh Goel, Kishan Sharma played an important role with Anita Jain and Saroj Kumar of Inner Wheel Club to make the program successful.
In the premises laxmi Auto arranged a special show of Hero bikes in which students showed their interest.
