Considering deaths of children with diarrhoea in the State, the Government has decided to launch IDCF (Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight) from July 28 in every district. Under the progarmme every household with children would be necessarily provided ORS packets and zinc tablets to deal with the death.
“It is extremely worrying that children are dying in huge numbers just because of Diarrhoea which can be controlled through ORS. The GOI has sent us direction we have to cover all the households having children,” said National Health Mission director.
