A one-day students orientation programme on topics of physics was organised at DAV Public School, Hazaribagh. Dr VK Sinha, Director, UCET, VBU, inaugurated it by lighting the lamp. In his address, on the importance of physics, he suggested the students to observe the natural phenomenon and try to co-relate it in their day-to-day life. Resource persons were AK Mukherjee, Professor of Organic Electronics and Manoranjan Kar, Professor of Nano Technology of IIT Patna. Mukherjee talked about the electricity emphasising on ampere’s law, its defects modification by Maxwell. He also gave a description of lorentz Force and Hall effects.
Prof Manoranjan Kar gave some basic concept of magnetism and brief account on Nano Technology. Both answered the queries of the students of the school, mostly of class XI and XII. They gave some tips to the students to crack IIT 2015. Principal Ashok Kumar welcomed the guests and said that the students after getting enlightened by the resource persons will certainly acquire the skill for the most prestigious competition.
