Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Geetashree Oraon has called a meeting with unaided school Principals to know the reason behind the schools not abiding by the order of providing 25 per cent reserved seats to students hailing from Below Poverty line (BPl) category at the time of admissions as well as other issues on Tuesday.
A circular of HRD department carrying instruction to keep 25 per cent seats reserved for BPl students during admission and offer free education to them has been distributed in every private schools of the city but irony is that none of schools have been following it.
Besides, high-handedness of school administration in raising the school fees time and again is also concerning many parents. Regarding this member of Federation of Jharkhand Abhibhavak Mahasangh has also decided to meet Oraon on the same day.
“Many unaided school are not abiding by the law, moreover they have adopted a nonchalant attitude on complains of affected parents. To nip in the bud school administration these practices we are going to hold a meeting with HRD Minister on Tuesday,” said Federation of Jharkhand Abhibhavak Mahasangh president Ajay Rai.
“The affected parents’ complains are ignored by the school as well as administration. It is high time now to work for the welfare of the students as their future is in danger,” added Rai Despite district traffic cops joint initiative with district transport officials to curb the menace of overloading and discarded buses ferrying tiny tots, no fruitful outcome has been witnessed till date.
However, with the objective to find a concrete solution, members of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee held a meeting with (DC) Vinay Kumar Choubey on Monday. During the meeting members handed a letter stating their ten demands. The DC has assured to go to the root of the problem and abolish it from the root cause. “I will call a meet with the school administration soon.”
