Congress workers, on Monday, staged a protest in Khunti under the leadership of Jharkhand's Finance and Food Supplies Minister, Dr Rameshwar Oraon against the BJP's dictatorship and vendetta politics. On this occasion, senior state Congress leaders Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo, Dr Rajesh Gupta were present.
Speaking on the occasion Oraon said that the ED's action against senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi clearly shows the feeling of animosity, ED officials also know that it is wrong, but they are helpless. He said that the manner in which the leaders of the opposition parties and especially the leaders of the Congress are being harassed, the dictatorship of the Government is clearly visible in this.
“There is an atmosphere of anger among the common people due to such action in the whole Country. It is wrong, it is unfortunate. Mahatma Gandhi had said that you can bind me with chains, even you can destroy this body, but you can never imprison my thoughts, Congress party through its ideas and movement for wrong policies will oppose,” said Oraon.
On this occasion, Dubey said that from now on a new movement has started in the Country, on one side the Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh are on the road and on the other hand the Finance Minister of Jharkhand, Dr Rameshwar Oraon following the same path. “If the experts are protesting by taking to the streets, then the day is not far when the countdown of the Central Government will start. The way the Congress party has started various programs through recently held Navsankalp Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, there is restlessness among BJP leaders and this is the reason why central investigative agencies are being misused, but the party is not going to panic,” he added.
