In Hazaribagh, an interesting triangular contest is going on as was in the 2004 Assembly election. In 2004 it was veteran Devdayal from the BJP, new face Saurav Narayan Singh from the Congress and BK Jaiswal as independent, backed by Yashwant Sinha and most of the BJP workers, were in the fray.
This time Jaiswal’s son Manish is BJP candidate, young and charming Jai Shankar Pathak from the Congress and AJSU rebel Pradeep Prasad as an independent, backed by ex-MlA Saurav, his supporters and a camp of BJP are in the battle. Manish is saying NaMo NaMo, Pradeep claims to make history and Pathak is hoping of an action replay.
Though it is looking like quadrangular contest in Barhi but the experts of politics of Barhi say that on Tuesday finally it will convert into a direct fight between sitting MlA Umashankar Akela of BJP and Ex-MlA Manoj Kumar Yadav of Congress. JMM’s Sabi Devi and JVM’s Yogendra Pratap Singh are the other two angles of the battle of Barhi.
In Barkattha assembly segment tough triangular contest is expected between sitting MlA Amit Kumar Yadav of BJP, JVM’s Janki Yadav and JDU’s Bateshwar Prasad Mehta backed by RJD and Congress. Amit’s own deeds had made the road to Ranchi difficult this time. Only Modi magic can save him.
