Hazaribagh police has seized about one and a half kg opium and about 20 kg doda powder from the house of famous Nirmal Singh dhaba’s owner of Hazaribagh industrial area, Demotand.
The price of seized opium and doda powder is said to be more than Rs3 lakhs. Police has arrested the owner of the dhaba Nirmal Singh.
A case has been lodged against him under section 15, 17, 18, 25 of NDPS act.
After getting concrete information SP Manoj Kaushik constituted a team headed by DSP Arvind Kumar Singh.
The team raided the house of Nirmal Singh on Saturday’s late night and from a room of his house seized opium and doda powder.
Police sources said that the seized opium was supplied by a smuggler of Simariya of Chatra district.
With him an associate which is a resident of Ichak block of Hazaribagh was also seen there by the informers. Now police is trying to arrest both the suppliers.
