State Election Commissioner NN Pandey today informed that the schemes of Central Government and the ongoing schemes by the State government have been kept free of the model code of conduct. However, he said that all the new schemes will come under the purview of the code of conduct imposed in the wake of upcoming municipal polls.
Pandey informed that a meeting of the General Supervisors was held and all information related to the election was given to them, how the expenditure observers would maintain the expenditure incurred by the candidates and the supervisor would also see that there was no violation of the Code of Conduct.
The State Election Commissioner also informed that two days ago, meeting with electoral officials and Assistant electoral officials was held and they were given information related to the election and related manuals were also given.
Pandey said that the state election office is committed for this election to be fair and peaceful.
