One Rohan Mahto (40) was lynched by some unidentified persons under the Pirtard police station here on Monday night at around 10 pm. Police suspect that the deceased was murdered late night on Monday near Parasnath hill by some traditional weapons, while one other identified as Chetu Hasda got injured in this incident.
land dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder . Officer in charge of Pirtard Sriniwash Prasad said that Rohan Mahto was near at his tea shop when six people who came his stall and started beating him with traditional weapon like axe for complaining against them to local police.
The assailants later fled When the police reached there they took the injured persons to the primary health centre but Rohan Mahto died on way to hospital and one other Chetu Hadsa was admitted in the local hospital .
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem .The police are investigating into matter .Six persons have been made named accused in the case .land dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident-sources said.
