last night in gunfight between two criminal groups of Barkagaon-Bhurkunda-Patratu coal belt, one person died at the spot while a driver got severe injuries. The deceased was identified as Kuldeep Tiwari.
As per sources, lakhan Sao, a member of Sushil Srivastava gang, was coming to Barkagaon from Dakra on his Bolero with his friends. In Barkagaon valley, the members of other gang, probably Pandey gang, opened fire on the vehicle in which Tiwari died on the spot.
lakhan Sao had come out of jail a few weeks ago. It is said that when Sao and his associates retaliated the opposition gang members left the spot. The police have lodged a case and are waiting to take the statement of injured driver. Meanwhile, SP Akhilesh Jha has said that it looks like a result of gang war. We have got some names who were involved in last night's incident and investigation is going on.
