One youth died while another was injured severely when the motorcycle they were travelling in collided head-on with a heavy truck under Bangaria police outpost at Chas in Bokaro district.
The deceased was identified as Vijay Mahato (23), a resident of Siyaljori under Chandankiyari block while the injured is identified as Vinod Kumar. Both of them were admitted at a nearby hospital, police said. According to eyewitnesses reckless driving resulted into the accident.
The motorbike collided head-on with a Hyva Truck. Soon after the accident, both were rushed to the Bokaro General Hospital where doctors declared Vijay as brought dead, while Vinod referred to the Appolo Hospital, Ranchi for further treatment.
Following the accident, irate local villagers blocked Bijuliya for more than 9 hours. Blocked was lift-up after the intervention of BDO who promised compensation and job at Electro Steel to the next kin of the deceased family.
