At a time when PM Narendra Modi himself is making appeal to the citizens of entire country to pay respect to the jawans serving the country, a bizzare indecent incident has occurred in a most Naxal prone area of Chauparan block of Hazaribagh district.
BSF Jawan Ashish Kumar, son of late Ganeshi Yadav, a resident of Bhaghar panchayat of Chauparan block has sent a written complaint to the PMO, Home Ministry, his seniors and senior officials of Hazaribagh police that the officer in charge of Chauparan police station Manjit Kumar had slapped and abused him in front of villagers without any cause.
According to locals OC Manjit Kumar had visited Bhaghar alongwith inspector Rampunjan Singh to investigate some case on Thursday. OC Manjit Kumar was not in his dress. During investigation Manjit Kumar took a woman from the crowd to some distance away. BSF Jawan Ashish, presently posted at Bangladesh border at Tripura in curiosity went there and wanted to know the identity of the OC who was in civil dress, giving his identity.
This gesture made the OC so angry that he started abusing the jawan in front the villagers and slapped him, said locals. BSF Jawan Ashish kept himself calm and then intimated about the entire incident to the PMO, Home Ministry, his seniors, SP Hazaribagh, DSP Barhi etc, they added.
Ashish said that on border we receive bullets (goli) but had never expected to receive abusive words (gali) in own village. “It hurt me so I made the complaint,” he said.
