The State government and Baba Baidyanath Management Board have for the first time requested the devotees to offer water to Shiva linga during the shrawani mela through arghya system within a dedicated time slot.
Chief Secretary RS Sharma held a review meeting of the concerned departments and Deoghar DC ahead of the mela. According to the decision taken by the department about the time slot the devotees could offer water between 5 am to 9pm. The CS directed that efforts to make available drinking water should start from July 7 and the same should be completed before July 10.
