A 3-day training workshop on use of safe child birth check list proved beneficial for nurses and doctors of several private nursing homes of East Singhbhum district as they were made aware and were shown to lead to remarkable improvements in the quality of health services for mothers and newborns. This field test was a precursor to the rollout of the Safe Childbirth Checklist.
The camp which kicked off on June 29 concluded on July 1. The training camp was jointly organized by NHM Jharkhand Government, FOGSI and JHPIEGO organization at Jamshedpur. Members of JHPIEGO imparted training to the nurses and were also informed about Intra Partum and Post partum care.
