NTPC Keredari Coal Mining Project started a sewing cum stitching training center at village Pandu of Keredari block under their community development programme.
At this center the displaced family’s women will get training of sewing, stitching, embroidery etc. so that they can earn some amount on their own capacity. This is the first training center at Pandu village in which forty women have initially registered themselves. This type of training centers is running at other places too with the help of NTPC. The officers of NTPC present on the inauguration ceremony of this center said that after successful completion of training period their company will give a sewing machine to each participant.
