National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Deputy General Manager (DGM) Rakesh Nandan Sahay, through a criminal writ petition filed in the Jharkhand High Court, has demanded CBI inquiry in connection with the alleged thrashing by the then Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh Sunil Kumar. Sahay has also sought for that the monitoring of the case may be done by the court.
The incident reportedly took place on February 10 and Sahay in his complaint alleged that the then DC thrashed him brutally with the help of police officials. The then DC, however, had rejected the charges. A public-interest-litigation (PIl) has been filed in Jharkhand High Court against State Government in connection with alleged thrashing of Deputy General Manager.
